I expanded my education in October of 2010 by becoming a Certified Lymphedema Therapist to reach a population with a widely untreated condition. Many with Lymphedema and are not diagnosed by a physician until they have progressed into a later stage and develop a variety of complications. As a practitioner, I inform and educate my clients on the benefits of Complete Decongestive Therapy in the treatment of Lymphedema.
By using Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), various Lymphatic and Edema disorders can see improvement. Individuals suffering from post-traumatic and post-surgical swelling also see a drastic increase in the healing process after the application of MLD. I am confident in implementing these techniques and in their ability to assist patients to recover more quickly.
